Hollywood keeps its tax break in 'fiscal cliff' deal

The provision, Section 181of the federal tax code, allows qualifying productions to write down the first $15 million of expenses from their corporate tax bill. The program will cost an estimated $430 million in deductions in fiscal years 2013 and 2014, according to estimates by the Joint Committee on Taxation.
